Surgical Technique for Scarf Osteotomy

← All Posts

Dr. Chris Hyer shares his surgical technique for a scarf osteotomy utilizing the strong and bio-integrative OSSIOfiber Trimmable Fixation Nail System.

In this video:

  • Overview of the Trimmable Nail System
  • Step-by-step review of the surgical technique
  • Surgical technique tips
  • Post-operative protocol

The nail fixation maintains the compression that you’ve achieved with a reduction clamp or with the K-wires. As you can see, the fixation is stable to continue to maintain stability of the osteotomy
