Dr. Lowell Weil Jr. has been a leader in the world of foot and ankle surgery since starting in practice in 1996. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, he received his medical training at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medication before completing his residency at The Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He then attended Fellowship in Europe.
Throughout his career, he been known as an innovator and researcher. He’s published more than 100 peer reviewed papers and industry articles that have advanced the world of foot and ankle surgery. He has lectured in 9 countries on five continents and 35 U.S. States on a multitude of foot and ankle topics including the scarf akin bunion correction. His published results and innovative use of early weight bearing and physical therapy, return to shoes just one week after surgery and correcting both feet, when indicated, in close proximity have allowed patients to return to life and activity quickly with long term success.

An OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon has performed a minimum number of procedures using OSSIOfiber® implants. Additionally, Certified surgeons must maintain their use of OSSIOfiber® implants on a monthly basis or be an OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon trainer.
