Board Certified Foot and Ankle Surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Matuk graduated with an M.D. from Cartagena University, School of Medicine in Colombia, S.A. and he received his Orthopedic Degree in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1993. He received his D.P.M degree from Barry University School of Podiatry in Miami, FL. Dr. Matuk completed his residency in Houston, TX at Kingwood Medical Center, where he was the Chief Resident. Dr. Matuk is the Director of the Podiatry Residency Program at Kingwood Medical Center, TX .
Directing and teaching the Podiatry Residents, along with his formative background, keeps Dr. Matuk on the cutting-edge of all the latest technologies and treatments. His professional interests in Podiatry include sports medicine, arthroscopy, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, flat foot treatments, diabetic foot care, and wound care treatments.

An OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon has performed a minimum number of procedures using OSSIOfiber® implants. Additionally, Certified surgeons must maintain their use of OSSIOfiber® implants on a monthly basis or be an OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon trainer.
