J. Cade Christensen, DPM is a Board-certified foot and ankle surgeon. He was raised in Douglas County and as a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons he is proud to bring his expertise in the care of foot and ankle to the local community.

As a foot and ankle specialist, Dr Christensen has experience treating patients of all ages. He received advanced training in reconstructive surgery, trauma, sports medicine, biomechanics, and diabetic limb salvage. Over the years, Dr. Christensen has earned a strong reputation as one of the leading wound care specialists in the greater Denver area.

He completed his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University, receiving degrees in Biology and Spanish literature. Dr. Christensen is fluent in Spanish. Upon finishing his studies, he moved to San Francisco and attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine, where he received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree. He sought additional training and completed a 3-year surgical residency program at the Highlands Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Denver, CO.

Dr. Christensen remains very active in the Denver community and has continued to give of his time and talents.

  • He is an attending physician with the Highlands Podiatric Surgical Residency Program and devotes time to training future foot and ankle specialists.
  • Dr. Christensen is a staff podiatrist at the Denver Wound Healing Center.
  • He is currently the Director of the Podiatry service at the Salud Clinic, Commerce City
  • Dr. Christensen also volunteers at community health fairs and has lectured locally and internationally on various medical topics.
  • Dr. Christensen is a volunteer with Essential Strides, and organization that provides gratis foot and ankle surgery to the underprivileged in Peru.

In his free time, Dr. Christensen enjoys time with his family. He has a love for Colorado outdoors and enjoys skiing, camping, fly fishing, mountain biking, and hockey.
