Carlos Barra, DPM, is the kind of experienced foot and ankle specialist who truly believes that the best doctor is one who cares about more than just the feet that walk into the office—the whole person matters. That’s why he has dedicated his life to being a highly-qualified, top-of-the-field podiatrist as well as an active member of the Ebensburg & Johnstown communities at large.

Medical Education

Carlos Barra, DPM earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree (DPM) at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. After his university medical training was finished, he completed a full podiatry residency through the Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh to earn his full certification as a foot and ankle surgeon. There he received surgical training in many different facets and aspects of foot and ankle care. This now allows him to provide general forefoot, rearfoot, reconstructive, and diabetic limb salvage surgeries as well as top-notch conservative treatments.
