Dr. Hamed Jafary, DPM is a Board-Certified Foot and Ankle Specialist and one of Los Angeles’ most trusted names in advanced podiatric care. With a background in microbiology and immunology from UCLA, Dr. Jafary began his career in genetic research—but quickly realized that his passion for connection and hands-on healing called for a more dynamic path.
His journey into podiatric medicine was inspired by a pivotal encounter with Dr. Bob Baravarian, Co-Director of the University Foot and Ankle Institute. Moved by the blend of surgical precision and patient interaction that the field offered, Dr. Jafary pursued his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Barry University in Miami. He completed his surgical residency at the renowned Jackson Health System, followed by a fellowship with the University Foot and Ankle Institute.
Today, Dr. Jafary specializes in trauma and reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, Charcot foot reconstruction, and Ilizarov external fixation techniques. He is a proud member of both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
