Dr Schmerbach received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Iowa in 2006. He went on to complete his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio. He completed his Podiatric Surgical Residency June of 2014 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital In Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He started seeing patients at Cedar Valley Podiatry in August of 2014.
Dr Schmerbach is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Iowa Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine & Wisconsin Podiatric Medical Society.
He is from Dubuque Iowa. He and his wife have 3 children. His personal interests include baseball, football, golf and hunting.

An OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon has performed a minimum number of procedures using OSSIOfiber® implants. Additionally, Certified surgeons must maintain their use of OSSIOfiber® implants on a regular basis or be an OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon trainer.
