Graduated from the College of Podiatric Medicine with Honors and graduated from a 3 year surgical residency with Saint Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. Her training included UCSF, Seton Hospital, Highland Hospital and San Francisco General. Her training is with emphasis in Limb Salvage, Trauma, Reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, wound care, and diabetic lower extremity pathology. Prior to podiatry school “Dr Rachel” graduate from Sonoma State University with a major in chemistry.

Dr Rachel Hoyal is an associated member of the ABPS in foot and ankle surgery and an associated member of the ABPOPPM in podiatric medicine, limb salvage and wound care.

When Rachel is not walking in her “father’s footsteps”, she finds time to coach her son’s soccer teams and spend time with her 2 boys, 1 cats, 2 dogs and some large pigs. She is an avid runner and has participated in several full and half marathons in California over the years. If she is not running around Santa Rosa, you’ll find her on the coast where she loves to abalone dive, fish and go camping. When its time to relax, Rachel is either cooking gourmet meals for the whole neighborhood, or gardening with her dog Riley and pet pig Choners at her side.
