Meet Dr. Timothy Badwey, an Orthopedic surgeon at Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance who has practiced in Kansas City since 1993. Dr. Badwey specializes in foot and ankle surgery, and in his time in Kansas City, he has watched this specialty grow not only in the number of foot and ankle providers, but through significant advances in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic foot and ankle disorders.
Dr. Badwey was born and raised in El Dorado, Kansas.
He attended Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with departmental honors in both Chemistry and Biology.
After graduating from medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, he returned to Kansas and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine at Wichita. He then completed an Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship at The Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.
After his fellowship he came to Kansas City and joined the Dickson-Diveley Clinic, now part of the Kansas City Orthopaedic Alliance. Dr. Badwey has been active, not only in the practice of foot and ankle surgery, but also in the education and teaching of Orthopaedic Surgery residents at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine. He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at UMKC and has been the Associate Program Director of the UMKC Orthopaedic Residency Program at St. Luke’s Hospital since 2002.
Any free time Dr. Badwey has, he spends with his wife and his two Great White Pyrenees.

An OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon has performed a minimum number of procedures using OSSIOfiber® implants. Additionally, Certified surgeons must maintain their use of OSSIOfiber® implants on a monthly basis or be an OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon trainer.
