Peter Mangone, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. He serves as the chief of foot and ankle surgery in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UPMC. He received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, where he also completed his orthopaedic surgery residency. He completed his foot and ankle surgery fellowship at the Center for Orthopaedic Care, Inc.
Dr. Mangone’s clinical interests include minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery and foot and ankle arthroscopy and sports medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), American Medical Association, Clinical Orthopaedic Society, and National Orthopaedic Education Society.

An OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon has performed a minimum number of procedures using OSSIOfiber® implants. Additionally, Certified surgeons must maintain their use of OSSIOfiber® implants on a monthly basis or be an OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon trainer.
