Dr. Andrew J. Elliott treats orthopedic conditions of the foot, ankle, and Achilles tendon. He has performed over 250 minimally invasive Achilles tendon repairs. Specific ailments include athletic injuries, bunion, tendon tears and ruptures, hammertoe, OCD of the ankle, fractures and arthritis. He also performs platelet-rich plasma injections and shockwave therapy for certain conditions.

After graduating from Harvard Medical School, he completed his orthopedic residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and a fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Elliott then served a four-year tour at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii, as Chief of the Foot & Ankle Service, Department of Orthopedics before returning to the Foot and Ankle Service here at Hospital for Special Surgery.

Dr. Elliott is currently the Director of Education for the Foot and Ankle Service. He also serves as the Assistant Orthopedic Surgeon/Team Physician for the New York Red Bulls MLS soccer team.

OSSIOfiber® Certified Surgeon

An OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon has performed a minimum number of procedures using OSSIOfiber® implants. Additionally, Certified surgeons must maintain their use of OSSIOfiber® implants on a monthly basis or be an OSSIOfiber® certified surgeon trainer.
