Douglas Hansen, DPM, received his Bachelor of Science in biological science from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago. He continued his education at the university, where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Hansen then completed a three-year residency at Kingwood Medical Center, where he served as chief resident in his third year.

Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. Hansen specializes in treating common foot issues, including heel pain, ingrown toenails, bunions and hammer toes. In addition, he cares for foot trauma, including flat foot correction, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgeries, and revising prior surgical outcomes.

Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Hansen served in the U.S. Army for 12 years, which included a combat tour in Iraq.

Dr. Hansen’s patients enjoy his quality care and appreciate the time he spends with them in order to fully understand their issues.

In his free time, Dr. Hansen enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, golf, collecting Funko Pops and spending time with his two daughters.
