Andrew Saffer, DPM

Andrew Saffer, DPM is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon licensed in both South Carolina and Florida. Dr. Saffer has nearly two decades of experience treating a variety of foot and ankle conditions, with specialties in sports medicine and reconstructive foot surgery.

Dr. Saffer completed his undergraduate studies with a BS in Biology at the College of Charleston in 1994 before earning his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (Kent State University) in Cleveland, OH in 1999. Dr. Saffer then completed a rigorous 3-year reconstructive Foot and Ankle surgical residency at Northside Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.

Dr. Saffer is affiliated with two Mount Pleasant, SC. hospitals: East Cooper Medical Center and Roper Mount Pleasant Hospital. He is board-certified with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and ABMSP (Podiatric Sports Medicine) and is an active member/fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.

As an athlete competing in TaeKwondo, and local 5K/10K/1/2 marathon runs, Dr. Saffer is committed to helping athletes return to their passion for sports through expert care in his private practice. He also serves as Team Podiatrist for USA Taekwondo Master’s Association (Southeast).
